I thought about it and did a lot of research. There were many images showing the fool walking off a cliff, but the most interesting and intriguing one's show it with slightly different twists. After reading the Wikipedia entry, I decided to portray him as more of a vagabond/wild/homeless man (with dog of course) who is very nature oriented.

This part is typical, however, I instead chose to show him holding a bee near a hive (with possibly a swarm coming out of the hive) to show how he is foolish. I think it's interesting how the objective of the meaning of the fool is to show that he may be foolish, yet sometimes it takes that foolishness to birth a new era in ones life or to "take the leap" so to speak (cliff symbolism) even though it may not be rational.

So, I thought about bees and the fact that they may sting and yet you still have that reward of the honey. As an aside, bees are kind of mystical and have had a whole bee cult built around them with the bee shaman, so I thought it might be a symbolic tie in to the natural instinctual side of humanity that the fool also seems to represent.

I thought this idea would still certainly get the point of the fool across while keeping with some traditional aspects, and yet still show uniqueness.

Foolish

When this card comes up during a reading it usually means that you are foolish in this area of your life. It can also mean that you should be careful doing foolish things in this area of you life or you could just be acting in foolish way.

Opportunities

It also means that in the sense of opportunities you are acting in a very naïve or innocent manner. The Fool card could also mean that you are going to act in a very naïve or innocent manner towards a future decision you are going to make.

You may even perceive these decisions to involve a bit of a risk but you need to grab these opportunities and make the best of them.

This card also says that you need to take the chance.

General

This could generally mean that even though it appears that you are going to break your neck by making this decision you should still do it.

Energy

In terms of energy you will find that it is very positive energy and the meaning of the card says that you are not going to make a bad decision.
