The Empress also represents the feminine but in a manner that suggests she is akin to the Earth Mother, a vehicle for the very existence of life itself. She is associated with creativity and fertility and it is through her that we are able to experience the cycle of life, from womb to tomb.

I chose to portray her as pregnant with stalks of wheat flowing in the breeze. In her hand she holds a pomegranate which links her to the High Priestess and tells of her association to Demeter.

In General

The Empress card speaks of new beginnings and pregnancies. Both new beginnings and pregnancies could actually mean pregnancies as in babies. When we say pregnancies we mean the word but it is also symbolic of a brand new venture. Think of what this could mean for your life at this stage of the game

Express female energy

The empress also speaks of time to express female energy. If you have been ignoring things on the home front like mending or fixing things e.g. there is a garage door you need to fix, a garden you need to plant or painting that needs to be done do it. This work could seem male or female but you have to express this female energy. You will find it is time to focus on things at home. This Empress talks about home time or spending more time at home and if you are having domestic squabbles sort them out now.

Love

The empress also talks about love and celebrations that go with love. This could mean something like a proposal, baby, moving into a new home, graduation or a birthday party. Any reason for a celebration could be applied here.

Now the other thing about the empress, even though it is a very positive card it does say you are going into a positive area in your life but there is a bit of negative energy hanging over you and this could be clouding the celebrations.

This card also says you need to have the celebration. Before you do this it would be better to confront certain issues you might be having in your life. This card also says that it you are wondering about certain issues that need to be dealt with go ahead and deal with them. Do not shy away from them or delay in dealing with them as they could get out of hand.

Positive energy

If you go ahead and deal with these issues you are going to clear the path for your positive energy. If you are thinking that this will open a can of worms you might be pleasantly surprised because that is not going to happen.
